A Real Welshman With An Adorable Temperament

Having bought a colt ostensibly to keep my D colt company I have discovered that they don't like each other as much as I would have liked. Combined with other personal but genuine issues at home I will reluctantly be offering him for sale this Spring. I have only owned him since October but he is a wonderful natured pony - a real welshman with heaps of character and an adorable temperament. He has lots of bone and feather, moves well and is a lovely creamy colour with socks and a blaze. Fully passported, wormed, not done much but good to handle, travelled well, nice natured in the stable. Not coltish and never bitten, nipped or kicked. Very friendly - always neighs hello! My only criticism is he adores rolling in the mud!

He would make a lovely family type pony and or would obviously be of interest to someone looking to breed dilute welsh mountain ponies. He is a 2 year old cremello colt by Supreme Champion Llwynan Tip Top and out of a mare by RWAS winner Criccieth Carreg. This lovely colt is a half brother to a number of champion welsh mountain ponies including Glanusk and Lampeter winner Penboeth Bantam, Lampeter winner Penboeth Evita, National Foal Show champion Penboeth Ella, Penboeth Eleri, Penboeth Goldilocks (multiple winner, champion and sale topper), Penboeth Tip Off...

Several siblings have also made significant sums at the sales including sale topper Penboeth Gwen. His dam is Afan Hillstream by RWAS winner Criccieth Carreg (by Penual Mark) and out of Afan Hillmist. Criccieth Carreg needs little introduction – a multiple supreme champion and medal winner and full brother to Criccieth Arwr. Hill Stream is half-sister to the lovely young colt Afan Hill Drift who in 2004 was Supreme Welsh Youngstock Champion at Glanusk.

This is a genuinely reluctant sale and I am not giving him away but he will be reasonably priced to a good, preferably long term home.

Cremello Welsh Section A Filly

This delightful cremello filly foal features back-to-back champions throughout her immediate pedigree including three of the great Royal Welsh winners Criccieth Arwr, Gredington Calon Lan and Baledon Jubilation. Her sire is the young palomino stallion Baledon Golden Osprey, descended from multiple RWAS champions, and a prizewinner who is already siring fantastic prize-winning foals. Her dam is the lovely young mare Dolhredyn Bethan (champion when shown) out of the multiple medal winning mare Sisson Bronwyn and by the champion stallion Revel Hy-hopes. Misty's half brother Dolhredyn Solo was unbeaten as a foal including champion and reserve supreme champion foal in 2004.

This filly was bought to keep my orphan foal company but when I then unexpectedly bought another homebred foal back I have ended up with far too many filly foals/ yearlings! If sold this is a very very genuine and reluctant sale due to several unforeseen circumstances beyond my control this winter. She has a wonderful temperament, is well handled, wormed, feet trimmed, good to catch, good in stable, good to load and travel and is generally a really sweet natured filly with lots going for her. I am not giving her away but she is reasonably priced to a good home. I can keep her free of charge until Spring if needed as she is no trouble at all. She would make a lovely broodmare for someone that likes breeding dilute (buckskin, palomino, dilute black foals).
